Load Testing Services

We use water bolsters, water bags, and calibrated load cells for our load testing work. Our trained and qualified engineers carry out load testing in accordance to ROs and equipment manufacturers’ requirements. Water bags are utilized for applications in which a suspended load is preferred or required. We offer an inventory of water bags and load cells up to test loads of 50 ton capacity and lifeboat davit testing up to 20 ton.

Water bags offer safe working conditions and are economical to use. Weighing approximately 2% of their rated capacity, transportation cost is greatly minimized as compared to conventional weights. Its light weight allows ease of handling and control, resulting in minimum downtime for the equipment being tested. As such, we are able to carry out similar load testing of cargo gears and gangway ladders as a complete package for our valued clients.

Drinking Water, Sewage Water, Bilge Water, Gray Water, Exhaust Gas Scrubber Wash Water & Ballast Water Testing

The Maritime Labour Convention (MLC 2006) have set out regulations specifying the need to comply and to maintain high quality drinking water standards onboard ship which protect crew from waterborne health risks.

Drinking water requirement is also addressed in the World Health Organization (WHO) International Health Regulations Guide to Ship Sanitation (2007) and WHO Guidelines for Drinking Water Quality (2011). The IMO Resolution MEPC.159 (55), 2006 revised guidelines on implementation of effluent standards and performance tests for sewage treatment plants require ship owners to ensure the efficiency of their onboard sewage treatment system and exhaust system at all times.

The EPA’s 2013 Vessel General Permit (VGP) requires vessel discharge, sample collection and analytical monitoring for Bilge water, Gray water, Exhaust Gas Scrubber Wash water and Ballast water. The IMO Ballast Water Management Convention seeks to address the issue of invasion of aquatic organism to other aquatic ecosystem. The guidelines requires the integrity testing of the ballast water treatment system to ensure its efficiency and reliability.
